Davies Taylor Osteopaths

We’ve realised that a number of patients were unsure if and how we have been operating recently. To clarify, we’ve been open and operating virtually normally since the start of June, and expect to continue to do so throughout the pending new lockdown. We can do this within the law and professional guidance because we are a Regulated Profession, coming under the grouping of allied medical professionals. We have been encouraged to keep working in order to help minimise load on the NHS.

The main differences now are that we conduct a patient triage/risk assessment prior to your first treatment, and confirm your status before each subsequent treatment. There is a thorough disinfection of the public areas at the start of the day, and all touchable surfaces are re-disinfected between patients. We require all patients to wear a mask on the premises, and to wash or sanitise their hands on arrival. You are welcome to bring your own freshly washed towel (optional) for the table – in a bag which is opened and re-closed in the treatment room. We appropriately distance as much as possible until actually treating, when we also wear disposable apron and gloves. We also ventilate the room as much as possible, and particularly during the 15min. separation gap between patients.

All in all, we are able to offer pretty much the same experience as normal, although the start and end times of appointment slots are a little altered – so please try to arrive +/- 5mins from your appointment time, to avoid any contact with other visitors to the practice, and so we can keep on track.

We’re looking forward to seeing you soon. 🙂
